modded roms
since the x5 is limited these days as far as the preinstalled software goes (msn messenger, etc) has anyone successfully modded or hacked a rom to remove these items?

I would be interested in this also. I am somewhat experienced with editing the flashable roms. I am just unable to find a image editor for the x5. Does anyone know where I could find an image editor?

i modified similar roms so axim x5 should be no problem...

edit: we've been talking with bensawsome... and i'm willing to help you guys make a custom rom with whatever stuff you want in it.

Any who. Are there any suggestions of programs/drivers to put in/take out of the most recent rom? cmonex (aximx5mp) is going to put wifi cf card drivers into it. She is also going to try and put in wm5 program compatibility :D :D :D :D

My requests: dell foldable keyboard driver and truemobile 1180 driver. PM me if you want some help or a beta tester-my X5 is gathering dust. I'd love it if 2003se would be possible on the X5-add in screen rotation and I'm happy!

Oh and I forgot to mention please include the extracted files or at least the cab file for whatever you want added to the rom. Otherwise we might not be sure where it is or if it is the right files/drivers. So if oldx5advanced could the files for us that would be very helpful. (I think it is alright to use the file attachment on the forums.)

I'm also interested in a custom rom, but not in a ready one but in a guide how to mod it my self, what tools are needed and where to get them.
