the white screen of death??

something is majorly wrong with my axim, at least i think there there is. the main battery power ran out (i never got a warning that it was even low) so i put it on the cradle to charge. i went to run a back up since it had been about a week and it hung up in the backup process. i cancelled the backup and took it from the cradle. the screen was frozen. so i hit the reset button and now all i get it a white screen with a little house/clock icon in the upper left corner. i was going to try to do a restore but the activesync on the pc doesn't recognize the axim. the axim has the activesync icon in the upper left corner but won't do anything. help!!!

i didn't realize the reset button was only a "soft" reset. my hubby did a hard reset and now it's fine.
