Can't get Ambicom cf wireless card to work with home router

I have a Ambicom WL 1100C-CF wireless card that I have been trying to get running on my Dell x5 and also my Compaq 3835. They both have the 2003 os update installed. The card is supposed to work on pc 2003 os. The problem is I can go to a free wifi site and connect right up on each computer, but I can't connect to my home wireless router. I have a Linksys router it has a WEP security code. On the other cards I have installed (including the Dell truemobile 1180) they always recognize my home wifi router and ask if I want to connect. Then a screen pops up that says a WEP code is needed to connect to it. This Ambicom card doesn't say anything about hooking up to my home router yet it says I am connected to the site when I check the network adapters screen out. Somehow I must need to get the security code plugged into this card somewhere. The router and pocket pc will just not communicate. Has anybody else had problems with this card? What do I need to do to make this card work? It is driving me nuts trying to figure it out.

Start, Settings, Connections (tab), Connections, Advanced (bottom tab), Network Card, tap on your home router's network name (SSID) from the list, Network Key (bottom tab), enter the key in the field provided (use the hexadecimal key - this will be exactly 10 or 26 characters depending on the WEP level you are using).

OK your way back to the Today page, soft reset, and try to connect.
