When Axims were first released...

That was just last year wasn't it? I was wondering if we might find any clues to the rumored Axim's release from how Dell did things last year. I wasn't paying attention back then. When did they first release the Axim? Did they do a press release thing days, weeks, months before actually selling it? any other possible clues? Thanks.

I believe it first shipped in late November 2002

Yes, they did a press release and it got a lot of play because it was going to set a new price point for color PDA.

Yes, they were released towards the end of November with three week shipping delays. LOL They underestimated the demand.

And these delays continued up until around February/March when they finally got back on track. I had a ~1.5-2 week delay back in February. A friend ordered one last week, and had it in 3 days.
