Music licensed for my x51v or SD card?

I used ActiveSync to download licensed music to an SD card on my x51v, and all is well. Does the license apply to my x51v or to the SD card? In other words, if I put the same SD card in another device, does the license follow the SD card and let me play the music on the other device?

It should. The card from my axim works in my ipaq.

It may depend on the download source. Song downloads through VZW are specific to the phone they are downloaded to, even if they are put on a micro SD card. I tried to play songs from a friends card in my phone and it errored out citing no license....
