internet connection to yahoo

I dropped my x5 and the battery popped out. I did a restore . Now when I try to go to www.yahoo.com; I get this download window which says {Download 'MyDocuments\' to the 'My Documents' folder in Main Memory? followed by three choice boxes [yes] [change] cancel] } if I select yes , I get a (A file with this name already exists. Do you want to replace it? yes or no. yes gives me (a file with this name already exists and is open in another application. Use a different name to save this file). Clicking ok takes me back to the change name. A new name such as 'beer' goes back into the loop of download this file {Mydocuments to the my documents folder in main memory

I have tried resets and am stumped. I can go to other sites

Thanks

Ralph

Julie , I tried you link to Yahoo! Front Page and the same thing happens.
I wind up in the endless "loop" of file exists , change name, can't change name file in use
BTW this happens when I use Internet explorer on my axim x5 but minimo browser will take me to yahoo. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, it works fine in Opera browser. It must be an Internet Explorer issue. I'll look at it some and see if I can figure anything else out.

Okay, I remember this issue now. I do not encounter this problem with my WM5.0 or windows mobile 2003 SE devices, but I do encounter the problem with my windows mobile 2003 device (an h1945), so this is a problem with the version of IE that runs on windows mobile 2003 devices - is that what is running on the X5?

Had you been able to get on Yahoo's mobile website before you dropped your X5?

Hi Julie
Sorry about the delay in posting back to you, Yes I could go to the Yahoo web pages before the restore. I believe this X5 is running 2002 version of windows. Thanks again, btw, yahoo was my home page on the X5 before I dropped it.

it is a problem with winmo2003.

what you can do:

1. use another browser.

2. keep using the same PIE but use a transcoder like Skweezer to access yahoo. (this is what i do).
