It depends on which format you are starting with. If you have DVDs, then use something like Fairuse to convert:

FairUse Wizard - Easy DVD to iPhone, iPod Touch, iPod Classic, AppleTV, Zune, Xbox 360, PS3, Standalone DivX Player, TiVO HD. Encode with DivX, XviD, H.264, VP7 and ffVFW codecs!

Then watch your files using TCPMP or CorePlayer.

If you have other formats already, TCPMP or CorePlayer may already be capable of playing them.

Windows Media Player (the mobile version) cannot play AVIs. Just use TCPMP or CorePlayer.

TCPMP

Get TCPMP, it is a lot better than WMP. Smaller memory footprint and yet it can play files a lot better.

Full Screen Video

I am brand new so maybe I just haven't noticed yet.

Can you setup video to play widescreen, utilizing the x5's entire screen size, rather than a square box?

How would I go about getting that screen size. I played one video through windows media player and it was a square box in the middle of the screen.

Hope this post makes sense and thank you in advance for any replies...

To answer my last question in case anyone else had the question. There is a button on the tcpmp program that will do a "full screen" mode so that you can use the whole screen for video.
