X5 Problem with screen recognizing stylus

Hi:

I seem to have the problem where the screen does not recognize the stylus. I have hard reset it a few times. I even completed the procedure recommended to open the case and put the electric tape on the screen cable, but to no avail.

I think this happened when it was accidentally dropped when I was walking into work. It just fell out of my hands. So, does anyone have any other recommendations.

Thanks,

What do you mean by check the power?

Right now it is on the screen where you align the screen with the stylus. It does not recognize it at all.

did you disconnect all cables between the screen and mobo, then reconnect? Or just put tape?

I always had good results after actually unplugging everything (and taking that opportunity to give the screen a good cleaning) then reconnect everything.

I only uplugged the speaker. Where are the other plugs that connnect the screen with the computer. Do I need to unplug the flat wire cable that I put tape on?
