Active Sync Re install

Just found out that my desktop caught a bad virus. The tech is installing XP, upgrade from ME on the machine, but told me all my program would have to be re installed. He is backing up the files supposedly.

If I re install the active sync on my desktop is there anything I should now about a re install, since there is nothing wrong with my ax? Will it recognize the ax with the re install?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled ActiveSync on my desktop several times without a problem. The only thing you may need to do is re-establish your partnership but don't worry, it walks you through that.
