Syncing files

I have a couple files that are kept on a network, and I want to sync copies of them on my Axim.
Is there a way to put a link in the Active Sync folder so that files stored in another location can be synchronized? I don't want to have to actually copy the original files into the sync folder - in essence, manually sync-ing with the network files.

I have similar "problem". I store all my files in My Documents folder on the SC card. But the sync program can only sync files in the main memory My Documents folder. As a test, I created a shortcut link called Shortcut to Business in the main memory pointing to the Business folder on the SD Card. But it is not sync'ed.

Wonder if anyone has done this.
