Processor Speed Setting

Does anyone else have problem setting the processor to PowerSave?
I select Powersave and Apply and then exit, if I look back a few
seconds later, what do you know, it's back to Normal.

Same kinda thing happens with Auto. It stays at 400mHz all the time. I shut down all programs, put it in Auto and then leave it
for a while but it never drops back to 200mHz.

Anyone got any suggestions or similar problems?

By the way, I'm running PPC 2002 with the Axim Advanced.

I believe with ROM A02 if you enable Power Saving and reset it will revert to Normal on boot. Does that sound like the problem?

What ROM are you running?

Oh and with Auto. You'll find that some applications just seem to hog the processor. Even if they appear to be doing nothing they will still "leave the processor" at 400MHz. It won't switch back down. So again, soft reset will clear the memory and application threads that might be remaining.

But check that you're running A03.

let me guess. You've got your 'Receive all incoming beams' unchecked??

Leave it checked.

Apparently Dell's aware of the problem and working with Microsoft to resolve the issue.

Kermit wins...I'm stupid, I remember reading about the incoming beam thing in another forum. Worked like a charm.

Thanks all!
