Peripherals draining battery fast

I go on line with my CF modem, keyboard attached and I only get about 2 hours from a full battery to a warning to plug in soon or else.

My question is, is this too fast or just about normal for what I'm doing? What drains the battery faster, the keyboard or the modem? I guess I can do without the external keyboard, but the point is moot about the modem.

I've never just used the Axim all day doing non-internet stuff, so I have no idea how long I'd get without the peripherals attached.

I just did a check. Ran MMP or 7.5 hours playing 12 wma's shuffled and repeated before I got yo 15% and wmp shut it self down. I had some concerns with the batteriy life but under normal use it should get through most days. BTW test was with back lite off, processer set to powersave (or what ever the auto mode is) and I did a little reading and mucking around. Does this sound like what oher people are getting?
