Problem with Up/Down Control

I'm using an X5, mainly for reading ebooks with uBook.
I'm having a problem with the left side up/down control in both uBook and Mobipocket, in that it scrolls down 2 pages instead of 1. I could use the D-pad for this function, but that's not as comfortable, and I suspect the contacts would break a lot faster.
Is there any way (either software or hardware) to tweak the controls for this button? I have the repeat rate set as slow as possible, and the delay set as long as possible, but that doesn't make a difference.
Any suggestions?

Hmm make a tap turn the page in mobipocket? I use that instead of up down buttons.

That might work, but I prefer to use uBook. The library function in Mobipocket is a royal pain, whereas I can browse files more easily on uBook.

I'll have to look into ubook, I've been using mobipocket forever.
