Just ordered my Axim, have some questions

I finally ordered my Dell Axim X5 basic, a fantastic story... for about 2 weeks Ive been missing on the basic refurbs by minutes (parents sleeping, exc.). Then I saw the 50 bux deal was back on and I kept the browser open all day, at around 5 they had some basics but my parents were at the hospital, I keep it open some more and refresh at about 10:30 and BAM, a bunch of basic models pop up :D Neway, I have a few questions now that itll be here in a few days (I wanna be prepared):

-What must I absolutley get for the axim (software wise)

-Do the refurbs come with ppc2003 or 2002

-What are the best freeware apps and games

-What's the best overall emulator

-Nething else you think an Axim newbie should know

----I believe this is luck of the draw. My theory is that there are alot of returns with no true trouble other than the OS is 2002 and they are attempting to redistribute as is... I have heard some say they got 2002 and some say 2003....

I'm going to use it for High School, so eventually Ill get a keyboard, I wanna be able to keep track of grades and homework assignments exc. I'm going to watch movies and listen to music on it once I get a large CF or SD card. I might use it for debate, maybe Ill read some books on it (is there a way to read Zinio magazines on a ppc), and the usual handheld device stuff

I think Pocket Backup Plus is my must-have application.

Here is a free student application. I haven't tried it, but thought you may want to look at.

In my opinion, the best emulator is Morph Gear. It isn't free, though.

One good thing to do is browse the Download section of this site. There are some really good apps there and all are extremely reasonably priced (free). Calculators (I use Engineering Calculator and Converter CE) are just one thing to look for. My Shopping List allows you to make lists (in school you should have to use plenty of checklists), but I think ListPro is better (it costs money) but they offer Aximsite members a discount.

Since they are freeware, I suggest trying them for yourself. Each person has their likes/dislikes, needs, and favorite software. I for one have fun downloading new freeware onto my Pocket PC. A good resource for the latest freeware is the following RSS feed:

Uhm . . . not quite. As far as I know, no release date has been set for the X3 yet.
