I could never justify ordering a Pocket PC because I didn’t think that I would actually use it. I have very few appointments that I need to keep track of, all my contacts fit in my cell phone and I never have a desire to read my email on the go.
BUT BOY AM I GLAD I GOT AN AXIM!
Its such a great feeling to order something and get more than you expected. I had no idea how much software was available and how much use I could get out of the little thing. I don’t think I will ever be board again. It is so convenient to have a map, grocery list, calculator, newspaper, TV guide, mp3 player, voice recorder, Nintendo, Gameboy and ton of games at your fingertips anywhere you go.
So if you are like me and saying to yourself, "I have no need for a Pocket PC" but keep coming to the site over and over again ... GO FOR IT!!! You'll be glad you did. The Axim is half the price of any other PPC that has the same features.

I always used my Panasonic GSM for appointments and notes... but the memory was too little to store everything, I used a Palm m100 for a few weeks and that was perfect but then I saw the Axim.... the Axim is a bit overkill but what the hell.. I want colors and music too ;)
Now I'm waiting <_<

My wife felt the same way about my 568 until she realised she could carry her bible, study material, address book, and a bunch of photos with her everywhere she goes. Now she is waiting for the Axim stork to get here by her B-day.

Don't forget library. I have about 25 books on mine. I took my dad for eye surgery today and he was called in over an hour late and then it a 2 hour deal. I had my school textbooks plus a big assortment of more entertaining things, I surfed the web a bit, played Diamond Mine, checked my schedule, studied. It was great not to be stuck with the slim pickings of Dr. Office magazines or the one book I could carry there.

Yeah, I forgot about E-books ... I've always been more of a gamer than a reader anyway. The little Axim might actually get me to read more. :)

Yeah I hear ya. I only ordered an Axim because at the time there was an $80 CAD discount before rebate for it. The next day I changed my mind, so I called in to cancel my order. I didn't think I needed anything above a Palm M100. Dell on the other hand, didn't bother cancelling the order on their end so right on Xmas Eve (perfect timing had I actually wanted it), I got an Axim delivered. I called them up two days afterwards to have them pick it up and refund the charge but then they offered me another $70 off to keep it... so I did :D
I still don't really "need" an Axim, but hey, its one of the coolest gadgets I've ever bought. I love how it can play mp3s, movies, and some good games. I'm still kinda bothered that Dell never cancelled my order properly but after using an Axim for a month, I'm glad they didn't. The only thing I'm waiting for now is the $80 mail in rebate.

Mine was originally taking too long and I was having second thoughts. I called to cancel it but they told me it had shipped, checked my doorstep and their it was!!!.
It seems like they have some secret power to ship them out right before you call to cancel.
