Since my Axim will be the only thing that I need to connect wireless, could I use a Wireless CF card connecting point to point to my PC via Wireless USB adapter? Or do you have to have a Wireless Access Point.

The wireless USB adapters are less expensive than the access points and routers.

I really want to keep the price down since this is more of a novelty than anything else. But is sure would be cool to browse the internet while I'm watching TV in the living room.

You can do an Ad-Hoc connection; but then your desktop/notebook would need to be configured for ICS/Proxy (use MS's built-in internet connection sharing or something like WinGate).

Cheers.

Hmm ... I guess I should spend the extra money and get a wireless router then. Maybe I'll get a laptop some day and it will serve more of a purpose.

I do an ad-hoc connection. I can't seem to figure out how to sync wirelessly using the wireless ad-hoc connection. Other than that it's fine. Do yourself a favor though - wireless cards still cost a decent amount and the wireless routers aren't too much more than just the card.

I ended up having both - I use the wap at work and the card at home for connectivity. Surfing on the Ax(or any PPC) is a pain as I find many of the sites I would like to go - I can't. PIE ends up crapping on some sites I would like to access - like Web Access for Exchange 5.5. Using outlook to send mail, while roaming - thats cool.
