New X5 user...HELP!!!!

I am trying to set up my Axim X5 handheld and not having much luck. I do not have the original software as my uncle has passed it down to me. And since I have not warranty Dell is no help either.

What do I need to download and where should I go to get it. I also have a foldable keyboard to program with the handheld. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You will need ActiveSync (I've already responded to your PM regarding download info), and if you want to sync calendar, contacts, etc., you will also need Outlook on your desktop. Outlook, unfortunately, is not free. If you want to your foldable keyboard, you should check to see which model it is, then Google it for the appropriate drivers. Your device will be running either PPC2002 or WM2003. You can check by going to Start - Settings - System tab - About (this is from a WM2003SE device but yours should be similar).

I am a newbie too got mine secondhand. Issue with installing keyboard too., Try out vistaheads site and you will find it works with Windows Vista easily check to see if keyboard is already installed on programs if so tap and go from there. You can also put it on the desktop (keyboard) but I forgot how.

I have a new problem got synced, got wii card going, got key board going but axim now won't turn off with main button, only comes on when I push reset (soft) button. Battery power is showing fine. both . Any ideas? checked for side lock, don't see any such. Help as I feel using soft reset to turn on will eventually cause problems. Any ideas?
