Some advice, please. My sig shows my configuration, and here's the problem: I can't play mp3's from my 512MB Sandisk CF card, but CAN play them out of built-in memory.

From the CF card they get about 30 seconds to a minute into the piece, then go silent and will not restart. I use Windows Media Player which I will gladly replace if there's a player out there that will solve my problem.

Is it possible that SanDisk just has a cheap/slow product?

I get well over a 100 Mp3's on a cd if I burn them as Data. Are you sure you aren't burning them as Music CD's? If you are then they are being converted back to .Wav's

OK, I figured out how to solve the problem playing .MP3's from the 512 MB Sandisk CFCard.

Here's the solution : Set Processor speed to 400Mhz instead of "Auto". Auto tells the Axim to decide for itself which speed setting to use for the processor. This allows the processor to slow down, and the transfer speed from the CFCard falls off to a level that won't keep up with the player. If someone else would verify this I'd appreciate it. Processor speed settings are in "Settings" / "Power" on the "Processor" tab.
