Question about the SD WiFi Card

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if the new SD Wifi card is compatible with the Axim?

To my understanding, the SD WiFi only works with "SDIO" compatible pocket pc's. But, an article, on the SD Card, in this months Pen Computing Magazine mentions the Axim.

Can anyone help me out with this?

There is speculation that the Axim DOES support SDIO. Even though Dell denies it. The root of this is that the SDIO logic is actually in the XScale. The question is whether all the right bits and pieces are connected between the SD slot and the CPU and controller chips.

Did the guy mention the X5 specifically? Could he have been talking about the X3?

I'd like to see someone who thinks that it does work go and buy one and try it. But to my knowledge no-one has.

Well, the article was actually in Laptop's October edition, on page 16 (Test Track) and the author does mention Dell's Axim X5.

i dont think they'd mention the x3 because it has built in wireless arlready too, right?
