I went to www.rebatestatus.com to check on my rebate. This is what it tells me:

This is just wrong! Thank goodness I had the foresight to scan in my packing slip before I mailed it off for my rebate. So I will be able to fight this... but let me tell you, I am beyond aggravated that I have to.

Does anybody know of an email address I can send my info to so I can take care of this mistake and not have to wait for the mistaken postcard?

I believe you have to call customer service for this problem, there were a few other posts about packing slip problems and the rebate. I received my rebate check this Monday. I don't know if this matters or not, but my packing slip lists the following:

It makes no mention of me using a 10% coupon nor does it say anything about the $50 rebate.

Call the number on the rebate form. I had the exact same thing happen -- "no proof of purchase"... what?

So I called them up, ready for a battle, and the lady simply said, "We'll (Dell vs. the 3d party rebate company) cut you a check for the $50". Easy sleazy!

(although I'm still waiting for that check...) <_<

Did you wait the full 8 weeks before calling that number? I have two choices, "you submitted your form less than 8 weeks ago" and "you submitted your form more than 8 weeks ago" I didn't lie and picked the first choice which led me to automated voice who insisted I not call back till after 8 weeks have gone by and then they hung up on me.

I don't know if I should try the other number now, they might really blacklist me after that and the 3 emails I've sent to rebatestatus.com in the last week (none of which have been answered BTW) :(

I'm not liking this Dell version of a rebate at all...

I just look for mine and it says no rebate found for the information provided. I really can't remember but I think I am under the 8 week limit. Should I wait or make a call?

Well, mine says the same thing: No rebate found. When I called Dell, they told me to wait a total of 10 wks and then call back.

It took 7 weeks for me to get my Axim rebate, I sent in the form on 12/18/02 and received a check on 2/3/02. However, my rebate still hasn't reappeared on the rebatestatus.com website.
I also sent in my rebate for the Simpletech SD card on the 18th, but I didn't get a check for that yet, but rebatestatus.com says it was mailed out today.

What does the packing slip look like, I did not find anything that looked like an invoice or packing slip or similar with mine. Also was I supposed to get a CD Rom with my Amix software on it? I got the CD with the ActiveSync but I feel like I am missing something. (Perhaps the packing slip had a list of all the things that were to be included. )

Mine was just a regular piece of paper, it says PACKING SLIP all in capitals on the top right corner. I forget exactly where in the box it was.

Well, all the software is on the same CD with the ActiveSync software, you have to look for it if the CD doesn't autorun (my first CD failed and refused to do anything after the initial install, Dell sent me another disk and all popped up as it should) but it's all there.

My packing slip lists the
Axim,
the foldable keyboard (I bought as an extra),
the cradle (yours should have either the cradle or the travel sync cord)
No warranty years 2&3 and
Type 11 Exchange under the 1 year warranty

If you're expecting any type of rebate you must have this slip to get it.

The rebate submission forms only ask for a copy of the packing slip. If you get an invoice, it will come in an envelope, via usps mail. Again, you're not supposed to mail that in. Just the packing slip.

For those of you who checked rebatestatus.com, only to find get the "no rebate found" screen...ask yourself this? Did you purchase your Axim through the Small Business site? If so, when prompted to enter enter your last name (at rebatestatus.com), enter your company name. I'm a lawyer, so I entered, "attorney at law." Well, you probably guessed it, my 2 rebate checks were payable to "Attorney at Law".

sure enough, once I logged back onto rebatestatus.com, I entered the company name...and my rebate submissions were there the entire time! I worried for several weeks...so give it a try!
