Hi all, I read alot of ebooks, currently I'm using the MS Reader and find it ok but could have some improvements to it. Would be nice to be able to turn off the ClearType in just Reader and change the color backgrounds.

Is there any other ebook readers out there and if so, what format conversions should I know about? I know there is readers that read, txt, doc, rtf, prc, pdb, lit etc. What is a GOOD ebook reader.

I would love to hear any suggestions out there for avid ebook'ers like me that will make my life easier :).

Thanks in advance.

Two I've tried and liked are Haali and Palm.

Haali - > Haali download website

Palm Reader -> Palm Reader Website

I've never really looked into ebooks at all... where do you get them from? Do you simply download them? Do you have to pay for them? Is it more affordable do download ebooks then go out and buy a print book?

Thanks for your help.

Ebooks are one of the greatest features of the PPC for me ... always having something to read. There's plenty of older, classic titles out there for free, but I wish there was a way to get ebook versions for hard-copy books I already own.
My first purchase of an ebook was discouraging though, since I got ripped off. It was one of the Robert Jordan "Wheel of Time" series, book 9 (I thought) and for $5, I thought it was reasonable. Turns out the thing I bought, "Snow, Prelude to Winters Heart" was just that ... only the prelude ... the first two chapters. Ha Ha. The title of the full book is "Winters Heart". So, know what you're buying.
