Mad can't run ebooks

I just got my Axim x5 a week ago - eveything is going fine. But I can't open an ebook I bought. I have called dell 5 times to no avail and I have deleted and reinstalled the book on both my axim and my desktop. I have also done the same with microsoft reader and activation. I also have tried to move it in and out of different folders - none of this helps. Does anybody have an idea? Also I keep downloading themes and can't open them. My desktop says it does not have the right program - which is what? Thanks for any help!

Do you get an error message? Or does it just not show up? Did you get the .lit format?

Have you updated to the newest version of MS Reader? 2.2.2?

Be sure to check the version again, because that is usually what happens when you have the old version.

Also, make sure you aren't using an old short-cut. When you run the upgrade, it really just installs a new version, while the old version is still there. So you could still have the most recent version, but the shortcut could be linking to the old version.

Either you've got an old reader or adobe's file thinks you've moved it or don't have the rights to that file. The reader needs to be activated, is it?

You have to make sure you have the latest version, make sure it's installed in your main memory, and lastly, you need to activate it!

I had either the same problem or very similar. And, I couldn't believe my new axim, came with an outdated reader, but it did. Can you open the book ok on your desk top?

IU had that just today.... all was well to recently (Friday) I wasn't able to read my books. To fix I reinstalled 2.2.2 and the reactivated the beast. I just let it overwrite everything and all turned out ok. Hope this helps
