IR for remote of digital camera

I have a Minolta S414 digital camera. Thier is an optional accessory availabe that is an ir remote control for the shutter. My question for the day is how can I use the ir port on my X5 to contol the camera? Thier must be a way, I'd think.

Any ideas?

Cool

you just need the software that learns remote controls... my old old old mitsubishi screen tv's remote had the learn feature and could mimic any remote i gave it. people in this forum should know the best software for this... let's have it people!

but you need to get your hands on one of those camera remotes to do this, or that file thing after learning...
