Thumbboard and Extended Battery for X5

Does anyone here have any idea where I can order a thumbboard (keyboard) and/or extended battery for my Axim x5?

Both items were listed as options when I purchased it (last december), but I've never seen them priced out on the dell.com site, or listed as accessories.

I've read occassional things on various sites about this, but I'm hoping some Axim expert knows more (ie: stuff like call up Dell in Lithuania and give them a double secret password, etc. :-) I'm hoping that there is a legitamate reason for this, and not just lameness on Dell's part.

Not sure about the battery, but the thumb keyboard is available at Dell---you just have to know how to search. For some reason, it doesn't show up when you look at accessories lists, only when you specifically search for it. Do a search for the word "thumb" and you should get it.

Maybe something similar will work for the battery.

Well, the keyboard don't know I have the Targus Universal Wireless, but the battery can be bought from another company and it has a higher capacity. If you get it checkout the piel frama case for the axim with the extended battery. For the battery go here: http://after5pm.net

Check out Ebay. I bought both of those items brand new on Ebay when I got my Axim and they were much cheaper than Dell sells them for. They were original Dell items, not aftermarket and both were available at very good "buy it now" prices so there was no need to worry about winning an auction. Good Luck

If you want the Dell brand battery, you can find both the battery and thumbboard part number on line under the Higher Education section. Then, call Dell on the phone, and ask to order it and give them the part numbers.
