How to Delete a File?

I am trying to delete a file from the windows startup menu, but when I use the file explorer that comes with the Windows OS there is no way to delete the file. Am I missing something or do I have to buy another program to do the job? Help please.

tap and hold down on the file, a shortcut menu appears to the right and then you can select delete. tap and hold acts like the right click function on a mouse
