New firmware update for Dell X5 avd?

I looked to support.dell.com and under OS PPC2002 category found this update:

But i don't understand, is it update for PPC2002 to PPC 2003 or
its update for PPC 2003?

It looks to be just a patch for PPC 2002. That's the section it's in, so I assume it's just a fix for a few problems that existed with the previous patch.

anybody installed this patch?

whenever i patch my axim ROM, i usually 're-install' my programs again and again... and i cannot recover my ActiveSync properties and programs...

- do you have to do your backup on CF using Data Backup? or

- do the backup only on ActiveSync?

* i have Activesync 3.7 ... should i install 3.71?

G'day guys and gals.

I received my CD "MS Pocket PC 2003 Premium Edition For Updating the Pre-installed Software on Your Dell Axin X5". The CD was couriered by DHL from Texas to Sydney Australia. The idea is that the software will update my X5 ROM fromA04 to A05. However something needs fixing cause either it or me is broke. I cant get the software to download.

There are alternative instructions on the Cd if the software has been downloaded from Dell's website. Does anyone know the download address for the ROM update?

it says its released on 21 October so is this yet another update for WM2003 A06 maybe?? I can't seem to get any info from the dell update page.

It looks like this is an update for 400 Mhz Advanced Axims with PPC 2002. If I select my OS as PPC 2002 I see this new update posted on 10/14/2003:

Latest bios is A05, that's the current shipping version AFAIK.

ROM A05 is the latest version.
