Exclamation Disabling Low Battery Warning for Backup Battery

I've had my Axim for a little over a month now.... now im getting a low backup battery warning at 40%.

Everytime I turn it on it displays that message. I want to disable that message.

I check the battery levels all the time... so i wont let it go dead. But that message is annoying.

Anyone know of a trick, hack or program to use to disable this message?

And why is it down to 40% btw... i havent let the main battery get below 40% before recharging.

= Jason

have you soft reset it recently? False low batt readings can happen, but they normally get cleared with a soft reset. If it really bugs you, the nine steps to make the battery warning go away are:

1. Go to your local store that has watch batteries (Radio Shack, Office Depot, Staples, Boot's, whatever).
2. Pick up CR2032
3. Put down approx $3US. (Check with the clerk for exact amount to leave.)
4. Return home,
5. plug in the Axim to mains power supply,
6. open backup battery case,
7. remove old battery,
8. insert new battery (be careful not to touch the top or bottom, or get any fingerprints on the sides. I suggest a clean soft rag to handle the battery and that you polish it to remove all fingerprints before you install it),
9. reinstall battery cover.

Now the warning should go away.
