Registry Tweaks

I performed the registry tweak on this site for AvantGo and had the files put on my SD card. Once I did this I noticed a marked decrease in access speed to the web pages that had be synced up. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this normal when comparing the builtin memory vs the SD card?

That would depend on the speed of your CF or SD card I assume... Not so sure about SD cards (as I don't use them as much) but CF cards come in different write speeds and can make a difference when copying large files.

It is completely normal. Avantgo stores its files by default in RAM which is quite faster than reading them from the SD card. I tried the hack and it was too painful to continue using. For me, the 2mb or so that I saved in RAM were not worth the slowness of reading of the SD card. BTW - those tiny files take up 9mb on the SD card but that's a whole separate discussion.
