Cradle Problems...

I had my buddy order me a cradle with his Axim since I originally ordered the 300MHZ version and then decided I wanted the cradle too. Well the cradle came a week after my Axim. Haven't had one problem with anything until now. When I plugged the cradle in to the USB port with my Axim, my XP detected it and Active Sync started with it's usual beep. However I received the message "Critical Connection Error, you must close all programs and restart windows." So I do, but the same thing happens time after time. Then I receive a second error message after the first one on another attempt to sync, "IP settings do not match with device ect ect." So I obviously remove active sync entirely and start fresh. Same error everytime. I then try to sync with my original cable and get the same message. Well about 10-12 tries later with my original cable it mysteriously syncs back up. So I'm happy for that part. But once again I try the cradle, BAM.. same errors, it will not sync up at all. Then it takes me another half dozen tries to get my cable to sync my Axim again. Does anyone know what I might be able to do to get my cradle to sync properly? Any info is appreciated!!!
