Here is the home network topology,
router/firewall = monolith
hub = sniffer
notebook = nomad
desktop = mrbigglesworth
wife desktop = macleod
linux box = roaddogg
axim = ? (smaug, smeagol, ... ?)
doesn't have to be LotR type name, just trying to think of something small but powerful, and fully mobile ...

How about "Cooper"? As is the Mini Cooper. Or if you have the 400MHz, the Mini Cooper S... :D

My Desktop: Cerebellum
My Laptop: Neophallium
My Axim: Haven't thought up a good name yet, I've just been referring to it as my little baby when I'm at school... haha.

Mom's Desktop: Lilly
I haven't gotten to naming my dad's desktop or Axim... I think his desktop name is just the Dell Service tag.

In that case Gimli or Thorin might be good choices. I'm not sure I'd want to name my computer after something as faithless as Smeagol, tempting fate just a bit.

Although I have used greek gods for the rest of my equipment , I think I will be going with "Axilla" for my Axim.

I don' t know if you can call it a name or not but I call my Axim "My Brains" because that's essentually what it is now. I used to carry a folded piece of paper and a pen in my back pocket that was my brains but now the Axim has replaced it. :)

Axim Name
I named mine "Snack Pack". I was making fun of my dog for being a bit chucky and eating 1 too many snack packs and I just got the Axim that day, and it kind of stuck I guess.
(Man, do I need to get a life!)
