ActiveSync will not install

Just got my Axim today, and when I pop in the companion disk nothing happens, and when I try to run Setup it will not start. LMK And Yes, my computer is plenty capable of running this program.

Do you have Auto Run enabled?

Try wiping the back of the cd with a soft cloth, reboot your computer, and then put the cd in.

I never had problems installing ActiveSync, I just had problems getting it to work. LOL :)

The disk could be defective. If you cannot get AS to install, download the Axim USB driver from Dell and ActiveSync 3.7.1 from M$. If you don't already have Outlook, you might want to try installing it from the disk. It will be more difficult to work around not having a licensed copy of it.

Even if the downloads work, I'd contact Dell about getting a replacement disk.
