What websites are good for streaming music on your axim?
I've heard that many of you listen to stream music, well what site do you use, and what plug in is needed? The sites I've tried usually say "Doesnt work because of wrong browser" or something.. any help appreciated.

quick free register, lots of stations, plays using windows media player in its own special internet browser screen. Use with streaming and it works great(just set wm encoder to stream what ever is playing on your computer:))

http://www.shoutcast.com/
You'll need to install a player that supports streaming mp3 playlists on your PPC. I use the free and excellent GSPlayer.

try pocketmvp...set it to be the default player for shoutcast files and then go to shoutcast.com
at shoutcast you can search for any server that is using the shoutcast protocol that is actively serving a public broadcast.
it's a great setup and I have no problems playing high bitrate streams over my 802.11b net
good luck

ps...it will ask you if you want to download a file, normally default.pls or something like that. choose to open the file after downloading and just save it to the default location. whenever you choose a new stream, it will ask if you want overwrite the current file....just say yes and happy listening.
try this stream with pocketmvp:

good luck squared

Or better yet save it as the radio station name.pls, then you can save 10-12 of those and just click on the pls file to reload the stream.
