Beaming Contact Info

Today a buddy of mine beamed his contact info from his Ipaq and then I beamed my contact info to him. Everything seemed normal, both devices said that they had received the info. However, neither one of us were able to find the others contact info in the contacts program. Anyone got any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Can't imagine what the problem could be. I used the "beam" function for the 1st time on Friday. An old friend beamed his contact info from his Palm to me. It appeared in my "Contacts" instantly.

Two of us with Axims and one with Toshiba couldn't beam contact info at all to and from the Axims. We could beam tasks, notes, appointments, but no contacts. What gives??
