error opening word file

I recently typed up my first significant letter in Word on my axim and was able to open and edit it a couple times. I then opened it again a couple days later and it opens with an error message of "Error opening file" and then I click ok and it closes. I can't sync this file to the PC either to try and open it. Is this common? Is there a way to recover the file? It's only a page or two long.

Find the document and rename the extention. Chances are you may have inadvertently saved it as an incompatible document type. The type you want is .psw

still didn't work

Aximluvah,
I found the file on my axim and renamed it with the .psw extension and it still opens with the error file and then closes. It will open Pocket word and I can see the first page of text but as soon as I click ok on the error message it closes the file. I don't know if this is because I originally saved it to my SD card which is a Sandisk card.

well if that's the case you could be in trouble. Try saving it to the desktop, open it take away all formatting and then save it back to your ax, but not on the SD card. That may be your problem.
