WMP9 sometimes bugs out and the ax shuts off randomly for no reason while playing music--always different songs, so it's not one specific file that's bad--but it's pretty infrequent and easily solved by skipping or stopping.
aside from that, it has been very stable and while I was considering switching to the X3i, I am pretty sure I will delay that move for at least several months and stick with my X5. In fact, I may just wait til Dell makes a new handheld with WM2004 on it before ditching the X5. I have yet to see a unit with the same features as the X5 that also has anywhere close to the X5's battery life, and as I sometimes need to go for long periods without a charge, this really helped decide it for me.

The only problem I've ever had with mine is that it's running something made by Microsoft :p

Working great since December 2002. I have done all the upgrades and now use A05. ActiveSync is latest version. Only issues I have had have been software related. :D

Mine's been working great for me since March, through upgrades to A03 and A05. Never had any problems with Activesync (currently using 3.7.1) or wifi using my Ambicom card (synching, surfing internet, and playing MP3's stored on my desktop PC). My son plays games on it all the time, and I use it regularly to read books with MS Reader. Never had a problem with multiple SanDisk CF cards or my SimpleTech SD. Thanks to this site, I've also gotten great deals on Resco Explorer, Battery Pack 2003, ListPro, and TextMaker, and they all work great!

The only problem I have with my ax is that I use it everyday for business but don't get a chance to just play with it like games, books etc.......especially now that I have a Dell Digital Juke box.

The only problem I have had is with software. PocketMap specifically. That is if I don't mention my giving up trying to set up wi-fi connection for the AX.

Almost a full year with no issues on my X-5 primo running PPC02 ... just ALWAYS say no if it suddenly wants to format an old card.
Soft reset before starting the GPS and map navigator, or any ram-hungry app.
Wi-fi browsing pc files works great, and Activesync has been flawless from day 1.

Well, since my warrenty replacemnt, I have had no problems at all. There was some kind of bug in my first unit that caused it to hard reset all the time, but with the new unit, no problems at all. It does all I want it to do (almost everyting I would do with a laptop) and it is great. Im using 2002 with A03

Had my Axim for about a month now and don't have a problem with it at all. I frequently use withmp3 player with a 256mB card full of music. Reading elbooks alot too. I'm using 2002 and active sync 3.7 and everything works like a dream.

no major problems here either. Socket bluetooth cards, cf cards,1gb microdrive, 256mb sd ards all work great. Just software issue's, but i uninstall any applications that cause even one reset. i have noticed that if i copy any info 200mb+ to my 512 SD card via my usb card reader the info is corrupt when read on my X5; Answer, do it throught activesync, works a treat. oh and my ruber reset button has a hole in it..(downloaded to many demo's & betas i think)....but i luv my X5 all the same.
