post if you're having no problems

okay, i usually don't have much to post on this site because i'm having no problems with my axim. here's a chance for everyone to post what they use their axim for consistently with no problems.

also, it may give people who are having problems a chance to find out who to ask to get those problems solved.

i for one use pocket quicken ALL the time. i couldn't live without it. it's one of the main reasons i bought my axim. finances on the go, i love it.

anyway, i'm using WM2003, AS 2.7.1 and linksys wi-fi (router and CF card, using beta drivers of course) and i'm having no problems with any of it. WM2003 is slick as snot and just as fast. I've loaded WM2003 on my axim, my wife's and my father's and we all love it. AS is flawless whether through the cradle or wi-fi, and that's with two axims (mine and my wife's) syncing to either of 2 profiles on windows XP. the wi-fi range and connectivity is consitent all the time, in all parts of my house (although it's obviously weaker the farther away you get from the AP). all my installed programs work quickly and flawlessly with no interference with the OS or other programs.

anyway, i haven't had much to post lately, so i made up something. thanks for reading.

Cool

I have to agree. I have the same setup and OS including the same WIFI stuff and EVERYTHING just hums. LOVE it. X5, all the cards, all the apps, everything *sings*.

Now if I can just keep from dropping it, like my poor old Casio. :-) Actually I'm glad I trashed the Casio now, since it gave me the chance to get the Axim......

Mine has been working flawlessly since March. I have upgraded to A03 and to A05 without incident, and ActiveSync and AvantGo work just fine. Knock on wood!!!!!

I'm still using A02 and WM2002 on my X5, and aside from the soft reset, no problems.

What a great idea! A thread if your NOT having problems!

My only realy problem is Dell customer service :bang:

I run some games, reading some e-books, and got the weather on it of course. Would like to find some more language studies programs. Also got Mapopolis. No problems there.

All in all the Ax is a very stable platform!

Same here. I was having a problem with the alarm not sounding at the start of the day, but after uninstalling the last installed program (an e-book program), I'm happy and back to normal, or what ever passes for normal.

Nary a problem here. Unless I fool around with beta software (*cough* TodayPlus), I never have to soft reset, either.

Absolutely no problem

Happy as a pig in the mud,
My AX is exceding my expectations every day and in every way and is slicker than a chitlin in opposum fat.

Absolutely no worries apart from jealous co-workers who behave like the 40 Thieves every time I fire up the Axim! As I tell them (especially the die-hard iPAQ fanatics) "second place is the first loser".

I've only owned my Axim X5 for a few weeks but it has been perfect for all that I've required it to do: GPS, Wi-Fi, Video, Etc. I had a Garmin Rino 120 GPS receiver that I used to navigate while driving and it was less than satisfactory. Sold it to buy this and the Tele Type World Navigator. I have since found myself aimlessly wandering around back roads to see how easily it can get me around.:D

Were you a tester for Dell? The Axim was not released until November of 2002.

On another note mine works fine... got it in November of 2002.

I use mine to watch some tv around the house (my Kings) and to test web hosting software for it. I have found no problems with my AX running wm2003 and A05 with Dell Truemobile 1180 wireless and a dlink router/ap and a couple of repeaters around the house and yard (they're big!)

The only bitch I have about the ax isn't the ax at all...it's just the limitations of it's OS. I really wish I could set up a file share from my AXIM so that other pocket pc users that I am around can log onto my axim and download files from it without the use of a webserver. Oh well.

Love it though...love it!
