Need help pushing the edge of the Axim envelope

I posted the problem yesterday, thinking it would be on yhe General X5 forum, but it's showed up on the X5 accessories forum.

Basic challenge; to turn the axim into a data entry terminal that inputs to a program on the PC. I broke one arm last Friday, and need to use the one hand entry provided by FITALY to input corrections to an assembly o MS Word docs.

Could you not use Terminal Services or some kind of VNC remote control application?

What is terminal services? Or VNC, for that matter? They sound promising; perhaps you would not mind clarifying.

They're remote control tools. Terminal Services will work with Win2k server or Windows XP (the professional version I think, but I don't use XP). VNC is an open source remote control application.

What happens is that the screen on your PC is copied to the Axim and any input to the Axim is directed to the PC.

I use it wirelessly so from upstairs or anywhere in the world over the Internet I could take remote control of my PC.

VNC is not fast. Not sure how quick terminal services is.

VNC worked fine with PP2002, but I haven't been able to get it work with WM2003. Has anyone?
