Yes. I actually did have the dreaded SD card reformat issue with it a couple of times - but it's been fine for three months now. I store music files on it now.

I have viking 256 sd & 1 gig cf card both fail in my X5. My advice is stay away from viking cards, simpletech, lexar are safer choices.

I've used Viking SD without any probs with my digicam but never tried it on the Ax. I'd go with Lexar (or Kingston)....
