How can I have my Axim sync after a backup from memory card?

I recently hard resetted my device after a backup to MMC card. I restored the backup. But it didn't seem to sync with ActiveSync! (All I sync is Avantgo) I deleted the old partnership but after that it wanted to make a new partnership with the same name! (It gave no name option) It seemed the old name was on the Axim. But I hard resetted again, restored, and it seemed to want to create a new partnership with a new name! Everything works fine. Maybe it was because I plugged in the Axim to the PC while it was restoring the backup? But if that happens again, what should I do? Should I try to establish a new partnership? Or try to use the old one? Thanx

I have the same problem.
It can sync with my laptop for about one minute, then it will disconnect with my computer after I backup from memory card.
However, I can connect it with my computer by using guest mode. Any suggestions?

Create a backup on your PC and restore from there. This a part of Active Sync.
If you should have to restore in the field, use that to get through the day, then sign on to your PC as Guest, and restore again from there to keep everything straight. Restoring from the PC will restore the partnership too.

I did a hard reset. it can sync with my PC now. The problem now is it can not backup from my PC coz I backup my axim using guest mode.

I backed up from my CF card. it worked. So Happy!!!
