Is your Journal bar reloading??

I have purchased the Journal Bar and others and now the weather refreshed for the last 4 days. I added a sports ticker and it works ok, so I am connected to the internet. Looking to see if anyone else has problems as I cannot figure out what is wrong. Thanks, Bill

I have the same problem. Journal Bar updates for news and info are spotty at best. Weather forecasts are fine, however. I'm still in the trial period, so it's discouraging to hear that someone with the full version has the same problem.

I absolutely LOVE the Journal Bar but I also experience the same problems with the full version I paid for.

I expected it to update data each time it is synced but I guess it doesnt do that.

On the other hand Avantgo does pretty much the same stuff and more and syncs and updates very often but Avantgo is a full screen application, not a 'bar' on the today screen.

Still though, I am happy with Journal Bar.

I am having the same problem with Journal Bar updating. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the full version several times and reinstalled. Then it refreshes. My biggest issue is that the weather is not updating. I went into the options menu and changed it to update every hour and it still does not work. I sent an email to Omega One and have yet to hear a response.

I am having the same problem, weather and stocks are updating every time iI sync, but news has stopped updating. I have the full verision. Could it be because I don't have a .net password? I see the news comes from MSN.

Journal Bar works fine for me. I have weather updating every 6 hours, entertainment and news every 3 hours, and no stock udates.

For you guys who are having the same problem, and those who are not, about not refreshing, what settings do you use? Under "General", do you have the "Sync when first docked" & "Auto scroll" checked or not. I don't know which I had them when the trial progarm worked. It's funny, Journal Bar worked fine until I paid for it.

I checked the "sync when first docked" box, but not auto scroll box. I have the same problems with JB not updating. I also have a second problem. Everytime it tries to update, my Ax tries to find an internet connection. Since it is not connected (whether or not its docked) it of course causes a connection error.

I sent an e-mail to OmegaOne also, but haven't received a reply.

To access the settings, go to "Setting"; "Today"; "Items"; select "journal bar" from the menu and on the right side of the screen, "Options" should be highlighted. Select "Options" and then "General". The options I mentioned should be there. But it sounds like these don't matter. I have also sent OmegaOne an email, we will see if they reply.

I don't get the connection error, yet. So don't have an idea how to fix that one.

I received an answer back from Omega One and they have a new version of Journal Bar for download. Their instructions were to use the same link as per the email reply if you purchased a copy. The version is supposed to be 1.1.2. I have installed it. So far so good but will keep you posted.

Did the e-mail indicate if you had to remove JB before reinstalling it? I'd rather not have to reload my settings if possible.

Sorry Donny, I should have been clearer.

I was actually trying to ask Maclac the question, since he already heard back from Omegaone. I was wondering if they told him to uninstall the previous version of JB before installing the new version.

MPSmith, yes, they suggested removing the old program to re-install the latest version.
I checked the version from my PC by checking the saved downloaded file and checking the date. The revision date of the new file is Feb. 11th.
