How do I connect to the internet!?

I am a new member and would appreciate any feedback or help with this. I am a student and I am running a computer network for a company for a year. One of the members of staff has just bought a dell axim x5. He has given me it to set up and I dont know what I need to connect it to the internet. It has a TrueMobile 1180 WLAN CompactFlash card. The computers on the network I run use broadband and connect automatically to the internet through the network so I assume I cant set up a modem connection for the axim. We have a firewall with an IP address but there is no proxy server set up. Can anyone advise me what type of connection I need and the details or information that the axim may need in this circumstance to connect to the internet.

I am happy to give any more infomation that you might need about the network settings if you ask me. thanks very much for reading this and any help you can offer.

Ryan

Its sounds like you guys don't even have a wireless router yet. Is that the case? So the first thing you would need to get would be a wireless router connected to the network somewhere.

Which in turn opens an entirely different can of worms. Better do your homework.

There is a guide under special links at the top of every page on Aximsite. It should tell you everything you need to know about WIFI.
