Is anyone out there also having prolems with syncing to your desktop?
I have been able to get the cable along to sync with some fancy footwork, but have only been able to get the cradle to sync once. My best guess is that I have software issue.
Running....
1) Activesync 3.5 (also tried 3.6 with no luck)
2) Windows ME
3) Axim 300 megahertz deal
4) Outlook 2002

Very interesting to me that to sync one has to get to the interent, yet I only wish to sync local information.

Regards

Your firewall is interfering with the Activesync connection. Activesync doesn't actually connect to the internet, but it does use TCP/IP protocols to communicate and some firewalls see that as an attempt to access the internet and block it. Disable your firewall and it should fix the problem.

No luck.

I get the yellow ! deal on the device manager for the usb driver, which leads one to believe that there is something wrong with the driver.

Also trying to upgrade my BIOS, but get a memory manager error so I will dig into that.

Ok, the problem is with the Dell drivers. Go to Device Manager, right click on the driver with the yellow !, update the driver. When asked, point to the wceusbsh.inf file on the Dell CDROM. That will install the dell drivers. That should help a lot.

Kind of wierd how I am able to sync OK (not perfectly as I have yet been able to click "get connected" and have anything connect) with the cable, but the cradle is really having problems.
