Changing PCs

I will be getting a new laptop in a few days and want to be able to move my AXIM 5 over to it. Do I just install Active sync on the new PC with the same relationship name and then resync? Just trying to make sure I din't lose anything.

That's what I did with my new laptop, not sure if "technically" it is the right way but it worked.

I believe you have the option to specify that there will be more than one 'partner' computer when you setup activesync. Not sure if you can do this after the initial partnership has been established. You can always delete them and start over I suppose.

edit: oh, didn't notice the 'move' part. thought a second computer was being added. my bad!

Still have aquestion on this. I loaded up ActiveSync, it created a folder on the desktop that had all my stuff. When I tried running it it said that basically everything had to be synced. This scared me just a little for fear either the desktop, handheld, or both would get wiped clean. Is there really aprocedurw anywhere for changing to a new laptop? I'm concerned about the apps I have installed also.

By the way, I had installed Active Sync right over the old installation and believe that is why it showed my files properly.
