You'll need some extra software, like Battery Pack 2003, Facelift, Dashboard, or Launcher.

As was mentioned in the previous post, you will need additional software to get icons (shortcuts) to appear on your Today screen. However, you can simply copy application shortcuts to the Windows Start Menu subfolder to get them to appear in the Dropdown list when you click on Start.

TDLauncher is very good. I have recently replaced it with Pocket Plus ( www.softspb.com ) which has more features.

pmoto is correct, but the number of icons you can have is limited to 9. I think that was to keep the list on the screen. After 9, you have to place the rest in "programs".

You can also use Pocket Facelift: www.pocketfacelift.com

deichenlaub,
You are correct about the recommended limit of 9 items in the Start Menu (i.e. so they all appear on the screen). However, I have, from time to time, had more than 9 items in this folder and it works fine. The only difference you will see is the Start Menu will have an up/down scroll arrow and the Menu will no longer be transparent (it will have a white background).

You're right, but this only occurs when some apps automatically add their icon to the startup list. The OS will only allow you to select 9 icons. If you have 11 due to loading apps and you uncheck one, the OS will not let you recheck the item because you'll be at/over 9 icons. :rolling: Goofy, huh?

ACtually you can go in to the 'Windows' folder and then to the "Start Menu' folder and add your own shortcuts just like on regular Windows on a desktop PC, you can add as many as you like and you will just have to scroll up and down on the today menu.

You want to paste the file named "tdLaunch.arm.cab" into the Ax, then when you navigate to it with your file manager you just tap that file. It will load the rest for you.
To access tdLaunch you then go to: Start>Settings>Today>Items. Tap on tdLaunch and then the "Options" bar will allow you into it's menu's. Putting a check-mark in the box when in the Today>Items activates it on the Today screen.

Thanks I've gotten this up and running now.
Two questions: Can I get rid of the open file at the start of the journal bar (ugly)?
Can I make the Icons LARGER?

Well Launcher is free so I'm not sure there is much to customize.
