This is just a little poll to see how may people hever have had to return there Axim because of problems with it. I am currently trying to get my 4th Axim replaced every single one of my Axims have crapped out. The first one had a problem with a ROM upgrade (no not the 2003 one), The second I had problems with the SD slot, the 3rd I had problems with my CF slot, and now the 4th came shipped with a broken jog dial that is on the side. Every time I turn on my Axim and I'm on a page that can scroll it just starts going nuts. I have now called and talked to customer support and they tell me that there is nothing they can do other then replace my unit through Tech Support. This is one of the most frustrating situations I have ever dealt with. And because I am past my 30 day period they wont do anything for me only just talk to Tech Support and have it replaced. This is bull S*** you have sent me 4 units that sucked ass and broke. Why is it that Dell can't understand that something should be done in a case like this so it can keep customers. I supositly have a 2level tech calling me back to help with the problem. A LEVEL 2 TECH??????? how the heck is he going to tell if my jog dial is broken??
Well I was just wondering if I hold the record for the most returnes of an Axim unit? If any from Dell is on here please rectify situations like this, I understand that your regulations are to just replace the unit but after 4 units I thik its time you step up to the plate and say "What can we do to make you happy?" becasue this should of never happened. not even 2 should of happened let alone 4. I have lost data reinstalled programs more then I have ever done in my life time on my PC. Please every one leave some feedback on how may you hav had to have replaced because of Dell errors and problems not ones that wee caused by you.

X5 still running strong with no problems at all. At the rate its holding up I don't plan to replace it for another couple of years. Its become part of the family.
As long as I don't have to call Custoemr Dis Service I will be a happy camper.
Got mine (X5 Advanced) last December. Had a smooshy D-Pad and one dead pixel, but otherwise, worked like a champ. Went though multiple ROM upgrades, including the new WM2003.
Since I couldn't resist an X3i, I gave my wife my X5 and she's loving it. (Actually, she loves Jawbreaker and doesn't really care much about the rest of it...)
Got mine in January and am still using it. It's been through many rom upgrades (now wm 2003) and some scary falls. Besides a barely noticeable scratch (you have to know its there to see it) It's working actually better than when i got it! (wm 2003 the culprit no doubt!) I got mine when they were still about a month or two in the making, but haven't had any d-pad problems. Only regret is that it has the old PXA250 processor, but it still works like a charm. I hope all my future PDA's last like this one!!

got mine replaced twice, so this is my 3rd unit. Every time I've had to get a new one, however, they replaced it by the next day. I was never really slowed down at all. Great tech support.

I personaly have gone through 4 or 5. I say 4 or 5 because i had three bad units, until i spoke to friend who works for dell and got my situation "elevated". Need less to say they sent me a BRAND NEW unit and not a "poopy" referb. But dell made a mistake and sent me 2 new axims. I posted my full story on aximsite, it should turn up. i might have posted it on www.pocketpcpassion.com but i dont remember.
