ActiveSync Partnerships

I have a slight problem. My X5 required a hard reset this morning and I can't connect with ActiveSync now. It tells me that I have the Partnership already in use and create a new partnership.

However, I have deleted the old partnership and the file sync folder is gone.

What do I do next? I have ActiveSync 3.7.1 on two desktops with Pocket_PC as my original partnership.

I even went to the problem of uninstalling the activesync and removing any instances of Pocket_PC is the XP Pro registry.

Any other thoughts?

Please!!!!!

When I went through a hard reset (did a few of them for testing purposes) I had to re-establish the "partnership." Since it wouldn't accept the "Pocket_PC" (already used) I changed that name to "PocketPC" (without the underline character) and it worked fine. Next time I had to use a different name again.

When I signed up for Handango it wanted to know the partnership and it made it sound like the password/license were built on the partnership. Is that true?

Also, do I have to delete the partnership on the other desktop?

Thanks!

Merry Christmas to all!
