Videos on X5

Ok folks, From reading on line for a while, it looks like I have to get some kind of third party software to view mpg and avi files on my X5. Any suggestions? I am running Pocket pc 2003. Thanks in advance.

http://www.pockettv.com/

I upload movies from my digital camera/camcorder to my pc. I then have to fromat them to view on my AX. The process sounds compicated at first but after the 1st 2-3 tries, it's a snap.

I'm a new father and carry videos of my son around to show off. A whole lot more interesting than boring pictrues/slide shows.

Here's another link that I used to help me convert the video to play on my AX.

I'm sure there are a bunch of other ways to do this....but this works fine for me. Have fun!!!

Yes I do. A lot of my friends use pocket mvp, but pocket tv works just fine for me.

You can also use Media encoder to convert to wmv...

I have used PocketTV on my dad's old iPAQ 36XX for a while now and am satisfied. However I personally just use Windows Media Encoder and convert files to WM8 (250Kbps) and have had success running that in WMP9. There is a DiVX player for PPC available from Sourceforge.net if you want an AVI alternative.
