Worried A Hard Reset Deleted Software

I had to do a hard reset on my Axim 5 and it resulted in the deletion of Hexacto Full Hand Casino. Does anyone know where I can get the software from?

Thanks,

Forensics

I hate dell.

You can redownload from the site where you bought the software by logging into your account.

;)
The software was already on my Axim when I purchased it. Oh well, Dell told me to contact the seller - that was Dell!

Hmmm, you are saying that this was in ROM when you first got it from Dell? I have an X5 and mine did not come with that!

Thats not a stqandard game that ships with new Dell Axims .. Are you sure it was on there when Dell shipped it to you and you just didn't load it yourself ...

Maybe he bought it from someone else? Doesn't Hexacto's website have it anymore? Have you tried Handango?

A hard reset is SUPPOSED to delete the software on there :)

It would not have been on there when it came from Dell. Or SHOULD not have been.

I agree with Cheryl, in that he probably bought it used on eBay (or elsewhere). Technically, the only way that a seller could include software on the Axim already, is if he stopped using the software himself. Otherwise, he would be violating the license agreement for the software.

So if it was included, the only way for you to get it would be to contact the person you bought the Axim from. If they are not using the software anymore, then they can redownload it for you and send it to you.

Deftech probably hit the nail right on the head. It was purchased used and the software was still loaded on the Axim. Gonna have to recontact the seller and have them get it for you if they are willing to do this.

You're right. I would say it would have to been bought off the street is that software was loaded on the Ax. I believe trying to get the software is a lost cause at this point.

However, you gotta love Dell for being such idiots! I was able to download the software from its originator's website for free, so all was not lost. Thank God I remembered the actual name of the software!

Have a wonderful day and God bless.

Yes it was on the Axim 5 originally. No it was not bought off the street. Yes, Hexacto had the software and they allowed me to download it. No, I wouldn't complain about the software being deleted by a hard reset if I had expected it to do so! Finally, none of the rest of the software was deleted, such as Jawbreaker and Solitaire. Also, it's on my CD from Dell, after I did a massive search for it.

Thank you for all your responses and God bless.

Catherine

by the way, this is not my only dell product, so if i have questions, it's because it's new to me, not because i'm an imbecile.

What's that got to do with anything about this thread?

Items in ROM will survive the effects of a hard reset.

I'm glad you got everything worked out. No one thinks you are an imbecile when you ask questions. :D We all start somewhere. I have been using PDAs for around four years, and I still come up with questions.
