the noob is back...

Cool, I received my x5 400mhz today, and have been playing around with it, but have a few questions.

I wanted to first off try and wack everything back to oem, so I found the hard reset, however, I cannot seem to get it to work, well, basing that off of the fact that I cannot seem to get it to clear calendar info from previous owner, and do not see what it is said in the instructions that I should see after a hard reset.

with battery in, battery out, battery back in, does not seem to matter how I do it, but pushing the power button and holding the reset button in for 2-5-10 seconds, nothing, I tested the power button and I can get it to do 3 things, it turns the unit off, on and then backlit/bright, can get the reset button to restart, but the restart it does is the same restart whether I use the power button or not, so it seems like both buttons function on their own, however they do not seem to function in conjunction with one another....any ideas? what am I doing wrong?

TIA
Tres

I know .. Just for some reason I live by the 5 minute rule .. Resetting equipment like the Axim, cable modem and then draining power for all the satellite communications equipment at woirk to make sure capacitors are discharged :)
