Let's help Chris pay for this upgrade

Ok, folks, Chris has upgraded the site, we keep being amazed by his investment of time to make this the place it is, but he also invests his money, and that we can help with.

If you go here you can make a donation. You can use Paypal, or send it directly to him at the address provided.

C'mon, we have over 2000 members now, if we get 10% to send $5US, it'll defray the investment Chris is making and let him operate the board the way we like it.

I agree. I found that link a couple of weeks ago and Paypal'd $20. I know that I've already received way more that $20 worth of Axim assistance from this website.

When I wrote that first note I hadn't checked the members count. Wow! We're close to 3,000 members now. That's incredible! No wonder Chris had to update the software.

I appreciate the praise and support. I will keep a list of each member that does help and if the interest is good - I will add a block on your post info that says something like contributing member or some little graphic or something. ( I have seen this on other message boards )

This site will never - as long as I am in charge - charge for any services. If the site ever comes to a point where I can not afford to keep it online, I will let someone else take over before I charge for accessing it or shutting it down.

I have learned so much from this site that I really don't mind donating a few dollars every couple of months! This is the best info site I have found . And newbies to PPC's like me don't get laughed at or talked down to. Thanks again for making this work Chris!

I was just finishing up with my contribution to help out using Paypal when I got a great idea. I have a paypal account only because I buy and sell on eBay, and most of the stuff I sell on ebay are items that I no longer use or when I find some thing better.

If every body that buys a Axim that has one of those other things they call a PDA would sell that item on eBay and use paypal. Then take 10% of that sale and send it to Chris, he'll have plenty of money to make this the best darn PocketPC website on the planet.

Thanks for everyones kind words. I do want to make this clear. There is no obligation to donate at all. The Contributing Member Tag is my way of saying thank you to the financial supporters of the site. THERE ARE MANY OF YOU THAT DESERVE THANKS TOO, EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE NOT A DONATOR OF MONEY, A LOT OF YOU ARE INVALUABLE TO THIS SITE FOR YOUR KNOWLEDGE.

Anyhow, I did want to get this off my chest. I wanted to clarify that for the guy that emailed me claiming that this site was a commercial site that was now charging to be a member. ( this site is one of the most personable sites in the PPC world and there is nothing you are missing out on if you do not donate. )

I'm glad that this site is dedicated to being free. Too many sites take the easy way out and start chargng their members. If a site is truely good then there will be people who would gladly donate
